Positron Emission Tomography (PET) is a molecular medical imaging procedure
that shows abnormalities based on tissue’s metabolism of glucose.
CT, MR and ultrasound, PET provides “functional” imaging. This
ability to give a direct measure of the body’s metabolic functions
