Dutton's Forum

Our New Conference Series Deepens Dialog

July 2003.   Last month we announced a conference series that Dutton will host in conjunction with Friedland Capital exclusively for our covered companies. Friedland is the largest sponsor of financial-community conferences in the U.S. and Europe. The series of conferences, which will begin this fall in New York, build upon Dutton's growing reputation for high-quality, widely read research. Now, investors not only have the opportunity to read in-depth reports on good companies that the Wall Street sell side often can't afford to cover, they have an opportunity to meet with these companies -- and the analysts covering them -- directly.

Small-cap conferences that bring brokers, managers and other investment professionals together with company executives are not unusual. However, conferences based around research on small-cap companies, and the analysts covering them, are. The J.M. Dutton conference series presents companies that already have a foundation of an analyst rating, estimate, and in-depth research coverage, thus greatly expanding the level of dialog that can be expected at the events. This should also add greatly to the depth of knowledge -- and turnout -- of the attendees.

As we mentioned in last month's Dutton's Forum, our mission is not only to provide some of the highest quality research available on Wall Street but to make this research available as widely as possible. We are now one of the most widely distributed research firms on Wall Street, represented in all the major databases and consensus estimates (Zacks, First Call, Multex, Bloomberg, JCF Quant in Europe) as well as with an online reach to more than1 million investors.

Relationships such as this with Friedland Capital, like the Soleil Securities institutional distribution relationship mentioned last month, help ensure we continue to build this audience of investors who are eager for information on this under-followed yet hugely promising segment of the market.
